These computer system laboratories will serve to decrease spaces in access to devices and the Web by supplying public computer access for people with specials needs, Marylanders without irreversible home (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning residents. The program offers grants of approximately $65,000 for approximately 100% for the development, upgrade, and/or retrofit of computer system labs/centers throughout Maryland.

The financing source for the program is the American Rescue Strategy Act of 2021 and all federal rules needed of the funding apply to the program. The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband is making up to around $11.8 million available through Link Maryland's Network Facilities Grant Program Round 2.
Financing will support tasks that improve broadband transportation capacity, interconnection, resiliency, redundancy, and long-lasting network scalability. These projects are intended to strengthen the performance, reliability, and sustainability of broadband networks serving homeowners, companies, and public-interest uses throughout Maryland.
